Don't let "white" consume "green" - Use technology to end plastic pollution

When the WWF office in Pakistan released the monitoring data showing that "at least 8 million tons of plastic flow into the ocean every year, and it is predicted that the total amount of plastic in the ocean will exceed the amount of fish by 2050", and when the research in The Lancet confirmed that the health-related economic losses caused by plastic pollution each year are not less than 1.5 trillion US dollars, "white pollution" has transformed from an environmental issue to an urgent crisis concerning human survival. As an enterprise in the field of deep pyrolysis of waste plastics to produce oil, we sincerely hope that every member of the public: Stop randomly discarding waste plastics. Your small act of kindness is already helping to lighten the burden on our planet.

A discarded plastic bottle takes approximately 300 years to naturally decompose; the degradation period of a plastic bag is even longer, reaching 500 years. These difficult-to-degrade waste materials are spreading harm in more concealed ways. The research conducted by the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology in Germany indicates that the harm caused by microplastics to land is 4 to 23 times that of the ocean. The National Academy of Sciences of the United States further confirmed that the global crop reduction caused by microplastic pollution each year is 110 million to 360 million tons, and the reduction in seafood production exceeds 1.05 million tons. What is even more worrying is that a medical study cited by Xinhuanet shows that microplastics have penetrated into human drinking water, food, and even placental tissues, becoming a potential factor in triggering chronic diseases.

The complete elimination of plastic pollution requires not only the awakening of public environmental awareness but also the establishment of a closed-loop system based on technological breakthroughs. For a long time, the global recycling rate of waste plastics has been less than 10%. A large amount of waste can only be disposed of through landfilling or incineration, which not only wastes resources but also exacerbates pollution. However, the cracking-to-oil technology led by Zhejiang Guoshu Environmental Protection has broken this deadlock. This technology can achieve a 100% conversion efficiency in an oxygen-free environment at around 400°C, and each ton of waste plastic can produce a stable 0.7 tons of recycled oil, reducing 2.5 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. 


In order to make the technology effective and practical, we have spent over 10 years conducting research and development, achieving the transition from the laboratory to industrialization. The company's independently developed catalytic cracking technology for mixed waste plastics has passed the authoritative assessment of the first domestic chemical process demonstration. Currently, a single set of equipment has achieved a processing capacity of 4,000 tons per year. 


Eliminating white pollution is never a battle fought by a single entity. While we are providing technological assistance, we have also coordinated with multiple recycling companies to establish a "waste plastic recycling mechanism", extending the "recycling - processing - regeneration" chain to the consumer end. These actions align with the development trend of the global waste plastic refining industry - data from 2025 shows that when the completeness of the recycling system increases by 10%, the overall technical benefits can increase by 22%. 


As global negotiations on plastic pollution control are underway, and as China incorporates the target for the comprehensive utilization rate of recycled oil into its "14th Five-Year Plan", our resolve to fulfill our mission becomes even stronger. For enterprises, this means continuously breaking through technological barriers; for the public, it means making "not littering and actively disposing" a part of daily habits. When every piece of waste plastic can be converted into clean energy through cracking equipment, and when every environmental protection action can form a synergy, we will eventually fulfill the commitment of "restoring the ocean's clarity and the land's vitality", and make "white pollution" truly become the starting point of the circular economy.
