The Current Situation and Countermeasures of Polylactic acid Industry Development in China

Abstract:

Polylactic acid is an excellent bio-based degradable plastic and has been applied in the manufacturing of films, injection molded parts and fibers, etc. However, due to the influence of various reasons, the development of the industry has been slow. This article analyzes the current situation of the domestic polylactic acid industry and the problems and causes existing in aspects such as product cost and environmental protection emissions. It has proposed to take the current national policy environment of plastic restriction, agricultural film pollution control and domestic waste incineration treatment as guidance. In the near future, it will focus on the market positioning of serving biodegradable agricultural mulching films. Through an industrial layout based on regions rich in green electricity, close to corn production areas and major agricultural film usage areas, it aims to achieve a polylactic acid industry development strategy based on cost leadership. At the same time, technical support in aspects such as pollution control and degradation behavior control throughout the entire life cycle was proposed, providing a reference countermeasure for the revitalization and development of China's polylactic acid industry.
