At the meeting, the heads of 10 enterprises from the field of biomanufacturing exchanged views on breakthroughs in the underlying technologies of biomanufacturing, key equipment research and development, improvement of raw material guarantee capabilities, investment and financing support, and the implementation of key applications. They introduced the production and operation, scientific and technological innovation situations of their enterprises as well as the difficulties and challenges they faced, and put forward suggestions and opinions. Li Lecheng listened carefully to the speeches and had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the entrepreneurs regarding the difficulties and suggestions reflected. He also required the relevant departments and units to carefully study and incorporate them, and to promote their resolution item by item.
Li Lecheng pointed out that vigorously developing bio-manufacturing is of great significance for cultivating new productive forces and promoting new industrialization. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China emphasized the construction of a modern industrial system, the cultivation and expansion of emerging industries and future industries, and made strategic deployments for bio-manufacturing, emphasizing the strengthening of original innovation and key core technology research and development, and promoting it to become a new growth point. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will thoroughly implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, implement the decisions and deployments of the Central Committee and the State Council, adhere to "two unwavering principles", firmly support the growth and expansion of small and medium-sized enterprises in bio-manufacturing, and increase efforts in scientific and technological research and development, industrial chain collaboration, research and application, market expansion, and talent cultivation, to promote the high-quality development of the bio-manufacturing industry.
Li Lecheng emphasized that he hopes all entrepreneurs can firmly maintain their development confidence, actively serve and integrate into the country's major development strategies, enhance the competitiveness of their enterprises, and provide strong support for accelerating the process of new industrialization and building a manufacturing powerhouse. They should strengthen scientific and technological research and development, think ahead, plan systematically, and promote comprehensively. They should further enhance innovation drive, innovation vitality, and innovation strength, and promote major technological breakthroughs. They should actively serve the market, start from consumer demands, focus on the key development directions of the industry, provide high-quality biological manufacturing products, and continuously meet the people's needs for a better life. They should break through domain boundaries and actively integrate with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and industrial internet, accelerate cross-implementation in fields such as food, medicine, chemicals, and energy, and achieve high-quality development.
