Biological Multi-functional Formaldehyde-Free Flame Retardant Board Project 

The common building materials available on the market currently all have functional limitations. For instance, after house renovation, it takes six months for ventilation before one can move in. The soft decoration materials have obvious volatile odors, and the fire resistance performance only reaches the B-level certification standard. Our company has developed a biodegradable multi-functional formaldehyde-free flame-retardant board, which effectively breaks through the technical bottlenecks of traditional building materials.

Most common building materials on the market are of B-level fire resistance. However, the materials we have developed have reached the A1-level certification standard. They are non-combustible and do not release toxic substances, thus strengthening the defense line for the safety of life and property.

Using renewable resources such as corn stalks, cotton stalks, and dead trees as raw materials, corn stalks are a natural fiber that can be used for papermaking and the production of building materials. By using corn stalks and cotton stalks to make high-density fiber boards and artificial boards, they can replace wood. Corn stalks have good biodegradability and can be rapidly decomposed without causing environmental damage.

The panels developed in this project are wood-based panels with a wood content of over 90% and meeting the A-level fire safety certification standards. They are also the only building wood panels in China that comply with the provisions of the "New Fire Protection Law". They retain the advantages of natural wood while being transformed into truly eco-friendly all-purpose panels through crystallization and solidification technology.
